Small businesses buy software to get a job done: find the right email, send outreach that lands, run payroll, track deals, grow traffic. Our reviews are built to answer one question fast: is this the right tool for your job, at your size and budget?
1. We start from the job, not the product
Every review and guide is written for a real task a small team has. We compare tools on how well they do that task, not on the length of their feature list.
2. Facts come from the source, with a date
- Prices, plan limits, credits, and features come from the vendor’s own pricing page, documentation, or help center.
- We record the URL and the date we checked it, and show “checked on” dates in the article.
- Vendor marketing claims (accuracy rates, customer counts) are attributed to the vendor, for example “Snov.io says…”.
- When a vendor’s own pages contradict each other, we say so rather than pick the flattering number.
3. We label what we tested
When we have run a hands-on test, we say exactly what we did and show the results. When we have not, we say the review is based on the vendor’s documentation and public user feedback. We never invent tests, screenshots, testimonials, or “we used it for years” claims.
4. We say who should not buy
Every review includes the cases where the tool is the wrong fit, and names the better option for those readers.
5. How we pick and rank alternatives
- Fit for the specific job and team size
- Real total cost (plan price plus credits, seats, and add-ons) at small-business volume
- Free plan or trial limits
- Limits and gotchas buried in the pricing page or terms
- Recurring themes in public user reviews
6. Updates and corrections
Software prices change often. We re-check prices before publishing and when we refresh an article, and we update the “last updated” date. Found something out of date? Tell us and we will re-check it.
7. Money and independence
We may earn a commission from some links. It does not affect ratings, rankings, or what we say about a product. Read our affiliate disclosure.
Who does the reviewing
