YourTechChoices is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and then buy a product or subscription, the vendor may pay us a commission. This costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same.
Why we tell you this
The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) requires publishers to clearly disclose any material connection with the companies whose products they recommend, as set out in its Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255). Several of our affiliate partners also require it. We put a short disclosure at the top of every page that contains affiliate links, near the first link, and this page explains it in full.
How affiliate links work here
- Affiliate links are marked in our code with
rel="sponsored nofollow", as search engines ask. - A vendor may set a cookie when you click, so it can credit us if you sign up or buy.
- Commissions may be one-time or recurring, depending on the vendor’s program.
- Some products we review have no affiliate program. We still review them, and recommend them when they are the better fit.
What commissions never change
- Ratings and rankings. Vendors cannot buy a higher score or a place in a “best of” list.
- Honest drawbacks. We still say when a product is the wrong choice, and name the alternative, even when that costs us a commission.
- How we research. Our process is the same for every product. See How we review.
Sponsored content
We do not currently publish paid or sponsored posts. If that ever changes, the content will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” at the top.
